Where to Find Inexpensive Baby Clothes
By CheapDaisy
Before you go out to deck your baby out in the latest fashions for top dollar, think about all of your options. I am a big believer “cutely” dressed babies, however considering the current state of our economy, I am also a big believer in bargain shopping and finding the best deals. To that point though, I do not practice the belief that you need to drive all over creation to find those deals. I don’t have the aptitude for that. I am not a fan of being in my car for hours on end, getting in and getting out, and in my case, getting the kids in and out of the car as well. Writing about it makes me tired. But I will not pass up a good because of all of that, I just have a list of places proven to be great for finding deals and I frequent those when the time is right. I also sign up for circulars if they are available. My goal with this Hub is to share with you on how to score on inexpensive baby clothes and baby items. Now there are those that will pay top dollar because they can and some who will do it because they want to—to that I say, to each, his own. However, count me in on the great deals!

First, I’ll mention Amazon.com. Amazon is a great place to shop for all things baby. Clothes, shoes, toys, books, dvds and others at a really good price. The reason I list them as a great place to shop is because of the model they use. The site is primarily made up of independent sellers. These sellers are all trying, fo the most part, to get rid of the same inventory. This is good for you because the basic principles of economics, supply and demand, in particular, are in your favor on this one. As you scroll each item on Amazon, you are more or less looking at a different seller’s inventory with each scroll of the mouse so ordinarily sellers are going to post wht they think will be the best price for the to make a profit, actually get rid of the item while at the same time trying to get your repeat business. In short, the sellers on Amazon are eager to please you so go for it. Search their baby category and be pleasantly surprised at what you’ll find. I love getting Strawberry Shortcake dvds and children’s books simply because of the price! Next, I’ll have to mention eBay. What I like about going for baby clothes on eBay is that you can bid on large lots of clothing and should you win the auction, you could pay as little as .99 for a large box of baby clothing items. Also with eBay you can find the infamous NWT baby clothes. If you’re kind of new to the concept of eBay, NWT means ‘new with tags’. So everything that you get from that site is not used and you don’t have to look for one item at a time. Provided, of course, that you find the sizes you’re looking for. eBay sellers are good about grouping lots of baby clothing by size this makes is extremely easy to find a great deal.
Baby consignment stores are great because the clothes that are actually purchased by the store for resell and you can guarantee that a consignment store owner is not into throwing his/her money away on old, tattered clothing that will not resell. You will 90% of the time find clothing in excellent condition, clean, name brand and very much relevant as it relates to the style and fashion of the item. Now if you enjoy waking up early on a Saturday morning to cruise the neighborhood garage sales, yard sales and thrift store, you are sure to find some items there. The possible drawbacks there is the needle-in-a-haystack way of searching at thrift stores and yard sales but they are not to be counted out in regards to inexpensive baby clothes!
